mission

Dance PlayHouse is a professional dance company based in Muskegon, Michigan founded in 2024 to bring more dance, movement, and storytelling to the Lakeshore. The name Dance PlayHouse comes from our early home at the Acacia Theatre inside Central Park Place of Grand Haven. What began as a company of three dancers has grown into a vibrant ensemble of a dozen members. Our dance artists create thought-provoking choreography for stage performances, site-specific works, and films that elevate the field of dance in West Michigan.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to making dance accessible to the public. Using a donation-based system, we offer affordable performances and classes to individuals of all ages and abilities. In partnership with Underground Yoga, Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging, and The Momentum Center, we provide high quality dance education for children and adults, including ballet barre for adults ages 60+ and creative movement for adults and teens with disabilities.
