  • Season Two runs September 8, 2025-April 18, 2026.

Classes through the Momentum Center and Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging run year-round.

  • Yes! We teach a Creative Movement Class at the Momentum Center in Grand Haven on Thursdays at 10:30am.

  • Yes! We teach a Better Balance Barre class at Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging in Grand Haven on Fridays at 2pm.

  • All classes, except for our classes at the Momentum Center and Four Pointes, are held on stage in the Acacia Theatre at Central Park Place in Grand Haven, MI.

  • No. Our class packs never expire, and students are welcome to drop-in at their convenience.

  • We foster a body-positive environment, and therefore do not have a strict dress code. We just ask that our students wear comfortable clothing they can move in.

For footwear, feel free to wear dance shoes, socks, or go bare foot! We do not allow street shoes however, and will ask you to remove your shoes before entering the dance space.

  • There are a lot of reasons, but here are 3:

    1) Dance PlayHouse focuses on collaboration rather than competition. Students are encouraged to celebrate eachother’s artistry as they work and learn together.

    2) Our small class sizes ensure each student gets individualized attention, increasing their self-confidence and making them feel seen and appreciated.

    3) Our space! All classes take place on stage in the Acacia Theatre, providing a unique and fun environment for learning.

  • To audition for our professional performance company, dancers must be at least 18 years old.

We also have a Youth Performance Group for dancers ages 8-10.

  • We hold auditions for company members at the end of our season each April, but are always looking for collaborators and volunteers!

If you missed auditions but still want to get involved, or if you want to collaborate or volunteer, please email the Artistic Director, Kelsey Lee, at director.danceplayhouse@gmail.com
