Dance PlayHouse is a professional dance company based in Muskegon, Michigan founded by Kelsey Lee in 2024 to bring more dance, movement, and storytelling to the Lakeshore. The name Dance PlayHouse comes from our early home at the Acacia Theatre inside Central Park Place of Grand Haven. What began as a company of three dancers has grown into a vibrant ensemble of a dozen members. Under the artistic direction of Lauren Sawson, our dance artists create thought-provoking choreography for stage performances, site-specific works, and films that elevate the field of dance in West Michigan.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to making dance accessible to the public using a donation-based system to offer affordable performances and classes to individuals of all ages and abilities. In partnership with The Corner Muskegon, The Playhouse at White Lake, Underground Yoga, Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging, and The Momentum Center, we provide high quality dance education for children and adults, including classes for adults ages 60+, and classes for adults and teens with disabilities.
